![]() Thursday, December 6, 2001 -- Foot in rib disease! At least I assume it's a foot. Something is stuck inbetween my ribs and if I lean over to far, it kicks, hard! It didn't really hurt it just startled me so much that I jumped and made a funny squeaky noise. Scared poor Radley out of her wits. There's lots of squirming going on in there. Haven't been able to recognize and body parts yet. But watching my tummy move is really freaky! My mom is coming out this weekend and .... We're going shopping for baby stuff, we're going shopping for baby stuff!!! YAY!!!!! I'm going to check out IKEA's baby furniture. It's much, much cheaper than the stuff at Babies R Us, so hopefully I'll find something I like. Then we'll hit Once Upon a Child - the consignment store, to see if we can find some bargains. It's just that baby coming, having to redo the bathroom, and no Lucent bonus, all coinciding was not exactly what we planned. But, hey, that's what the savings account is for, right? I just ordered a new bra. It's a 36H. Yes, that's right, a 36H. I just can't wait until my milk comes in. I don't know what scares me more - labor and delivery or waking up one day with watermellons on my chest. Also, I never quite understood where they got the shape and size for the nipples that you put on baby bottles. I mean human nipples don't look like that, right? Well, I had never been pregnant! Now the resemblence is quite close, and kinda scary. They're so weird looking, and I can't remember what they looked like before. My poor hips are still my main pregnancy complaint. I found the only thing that really helps, other than not sleeping on my side - which is not an option, is to arrange a bunch of pillows in such a way that I can lie face down with my belly suspended and then have Pete behind me putting all of his weight onto his arms and hands on to my butt - pushing down and out. That seems to put every thing where it wants to be. The most recent inconvenience seems to be some pelvic pain/pressure occasionally when I've been walking alot. It's often short lived and bearable, but sometimes I have to sit for a minute or two to get it to stop. I think this will probably get worse as the baby gets bigger and eventually drops down into my pelvis. Oh, well, only 7.5 weeks to go! Well, that's the news from preggo land!
