Sunday, December 2, 2001 -- We got our DSL back!!!

DSL - take 3!

We now have DirectTV DSL - was known as Telocity. So far so good. I don't know how we survived without it. I'm soooooo happy to have it back!

I've always know that the straightness or curliness of my hair was strictly under hormonal control. Four years on the pill just about straightened it completely. I was wondering what nine months of pregnancy would do to it.

Well, it's still curly, most of the time, especially right after I wash it. But, the next day it'll be straighter. If I put it up or pull it back it stays straight. And the curl isn't as intense or as predictable. Sometimes, there are curly strands and straight strands. That looks really classy. And now it's pretty easy to blow dry it straight and it looks much better that way.

I don't mind blowing it straight occasionally now, but after the baby is here I'll barely have time to shower, never mind being able to fuss that much with my hair. I hope it goes back to curly fairly quickly. Otherwise, I'll just look frumpy for a while.

So, many of the women on the ePregnancy January board are concerned that they might go into labor on Super Bowl Sunday. They are afraid that their husbands/boyfriends will desert them for football. Luckily, Pete doesn't care about football, so I have no fear of that. I'm the football fan in this family. If the Giants had managed not to shoot themselves in the foot and actually stood a chance this year, then I would be somewhat upset at missing them in the Super Bowl. But it doesn't look like that's gonna happen this year. But the Bears are looking good this year...... I'll just have to have someone here, watching the game downstairs, keeping me updated on the score.

My hair is also hormonally controlled, being curly when I'm not on the pill and straight when I am. I was on Ortho Novum 777 for 2.5 years, and I was just wondering if you know of a pill that doesn't affect the curliness of hair?
