Sunday, November 18, 2001 -- No meteor shower for us.

I'm bummed. We're totally fogged in. It's too warm and there's too much moisture in the air. We can't see two feet in front of us, never mind the sky for a meteor shower. We were going to drive out about 30 miles to farm-land-ville, but now we aren't going to bother. :( Well, I guess I can hope to live til 2099 - the next time the new moon, comet tail debris, and North America will line up for the Leonid shower.

------------------

The baby's been really active today. I've been getting all kinds of kicks and rolls and such. I swear it has its own little tv/vcr combo and a baby Taebo tape in there. For the most part I feel the kicks just above my (quickly disappearing) belly button. Those are still fun! You can see my belly jump! Occasionally, I get kicks or punches that are directed towards my internal organs - my bladder when it is full, my cervix, etc... Those are not so much fun.

One benefit of pregnancy is that my leg hair has been growing really slowly. I think it has almost stopped. This is good, since shaving my legs was getting difficult anyway. On the other hand, my nails are growing like weeds. I am constantly filing them down, but they grow back.

I got my Glucose Tolerance and Hemoglobin test results back. I don't have Gestational Diabetes! Yay!!!! I don't think I could cut out sugar completely right now. But I am a bit anemic. That might explain why all I want to do is sleep! Bring on the spinach, kale, and red meat!!! I'm taking a liquid herbal iron supplement and my system seems to be handling it well.

------------------

I think we're going to get one of those cat fountains for the kitties for Christmas/Channukah/Holiday gift giving season. I'm convinced that Boo only drinks when she can get us to turn the faucet on for her in our bathroom upstairs. I haven't seen her drink from their water bowl in months. Since they are on a mainly dry diet I get very concerned that they get enough water.
